Few days before Olympus say good bye to South Korea Market, they said to sell camera business to Japan Industrial Partners, JIP. Olympus will END its camera business in South Korea on June 30. This is mostly cause by the LOW Volume of sales in South Korea. They will maintain the servicing facilities until March 2026, this enable the existing customer to do servicing and repairing for their camera.
Remember about 17 years ago, when everyone of us say “Hi” to Digital Camera, and our friend Venus Kam bring along a latest Olympus Camera with 1.3MP, and a LCD screen to view the picture we took at UK. That’s is really so cool. After so many years, Olympus Camera really lost their shares in market little by little to their competitor and Camera Phone.
So, Bye to Olympus in South Korea in few more days.
