Latest case 4th victim of Wuhan Virus in Malaysia

The Health Ministry has confirmed three more cases of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), bringing the total number of such cases in Malaysia to seven.

Latest 3 cases of Wuhan Virus in Malaysia involves a four-year-old child, a 52-year-old man and the mother of two previously confirmed cases.

The four-year-old Child and 52-year-old man is the patient in the isolated ward at the Hospital Sultanah Maliha in Langkawi, now detected positive.

The Daughter in Laws for the first case in Singapore who tested negative and choose to stay back to take care her children (2yo and 11yo) now tested positive.

So far all confirmed cases are China Nationality.


Previous 4th victim of Wuhan Virus in Malaysia happened in Johor involves a 40 year old man from Wuhan, China travel to Johor on 22nd Jan by a bus from Singapore. He come to Johor together with another 17 tourists from China.

He started to have signs of fever on 23rd Jan and seek for the medical advise on the next day at a private hospital. Then he been referred to Hospital Sultanah Aminah’s infectious Disease Medical Team in Johor. On the first day of Chinese New Year, 25th Jan Morning, CPRC, National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre received a report that the test sample taken from the Wuhan Tourist was positive for 2019-nCoV.

Currently the man still suffer from the fever and cough, but still in stable condition. Now working to check on the rest of 17 tourist who travel in the same bus with him. Initial screening, none of them have any symptoms of the virus. All 17 tourist have been placed under observation and quarantine orders while waiting for the further test result.

Total 4 cases of confirmed CoronaVirus are people from Wuhan, China. So far, zero Malaysian detected with this virus. Pray for Malaysia, Pray for China.
