Covid-19 pandemic could be a turning point for work from home or remote work

Covid-19 outbreak cause China to start lockdown and managed to control the spread of infection, break the infection chain. The rest of the world start to show infection increase trend, lead to implementation of Movement Control and Lockdown, same to Malaysia.

Malaysia implement Movement Control Order (Partially Lockdown), MCO from 18Mar to 31Mar which stop everyone from moving around the neighbourhood or town. This MCO meant to stop the infection chain of covid-19. During this MCO period, government advice everyone to stay at home.

The Covid-19 pandemic caused a lot of people change their lifestyle, their business model, or even their life. Traditional business model can not apply at this moment, people can not move from one place to another easily and freely. Latest update for World CoronaVirus Condition when the Death Toll rising to 16585 people, and the infected number raise to 383000 person. If you notice the suspected number is huge increase. We believe the number will keep increase if the cure haven’t successfully developed. Anyway, there are increase person being recovered from the virus.

When the infected number rise to 383000 person now, is getting serious now.

The infected patient number keep rising and the death toll also rising. There are some patient cure from the virus too, the number also increased to 102524 person, that’s good news.


In Malaysia, there are 1624 infected cases, and death roll rise to 15 cases. There are some patient cure from the virus too, the number also increased to 183 person, that’s good news.

Now Malaysian can get help from Perkeso and EPF.

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has just announced that KSWP (EPF) members can withdraw funds from their EPF account 2 to lighten the financial burden in the period of MCO & COVID-19 outbreak. 

Eligible EPF members will be permitted to withdraw a maximum of RM 500 per month for 12 months from their EPF Account 2, starting 1st April 2020. This is will be applicable to EPF members aged below 55 years old. This initiative is expected to benefit around 12 million EPF members with an estimated total withdrawal of RM 40 billion.

Please think twice todo this withdrawal, if do not need it, do not withdrawal it as it is your own retirement money after all. If you did it, please use it wisely, this initiatives is to ease your burden in month necessities expenses, not for you to buy luxury items.
