The Retro-futuristic style Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000CS that inherits the form of the first model of the G- Shock series of shock-resistant watches. This Grid pattern on the exterior is inspired by the concept of the time tunnel that connects the past with the future. In the 80s, grids were often been used as visual shorthand to show a “high tech” future.
Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000CS features prominent silver lines that are created by applying a black ion plating and then using a laser to carve out the grid pattern on the case and band.
Unlike its old school 1980s counterpart, the new metal G-Shock Grid GMW-B5000CS is further evolved in functionality such as shock-resistant, water-resistant to 200 meters, other features include Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 radio-controlled time adjustment, Bluetooth smartphone link, and STN LCD display.
