Seremban’s 8 subdistricts showed there was an increase in Covid-19 cases, therefore the entire district of Seremban will be placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from July 9-22.
Other locations in Sabah, Johor and Pahang will also be placed under the EMCO during the same period.
In Sabah, the EMCO will be imposed in Kampung Sungai Imam, Tawau, which has so far recorded 11 Covid-19 positive cases. The EMCO will also be imposed on Kampung Pintasan, Kota Belud, Sabah, which recorded 11 positive cases out of 34 screenings conducted. And also Kampung Istimewa, Batu Sapi, Sandakan, Sabah, which recorded 25 positive cases.
In Pahang, the EMCO will be imposed on the workers quarters of the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) in Gebeng, Kuantan. 147 positive cases were recorded in this area following screenings conducted on 4,278 people.
In Johor, the EMCO will be imposed at the Indahpura Industrial Area as well as seven areas within the Senai Industrial Area.
In Kelantan, the EMCO will be imposed on Taman Kurnia Jaya and Taman Pinggiran Golf, Kota Baru. Both of these housing estates have a total of 36 positive cases following screenings conducted on 83 people.
